It was a story Shadow had heard before quite a few times since he'd gone out to find his heritage. It upset him a great deal to find that the few people who would ever get what it meant to be Garou were always being downtroden and picked on. It was completely alien to his way of thinking, as his Bastet friends had never treated their kin this way. This one, he couldn't leave behind though, she was too vulnerable and her father sounded like a right brute.

"My father doesn't let me see anyone" Cheyda had complained to Shadow one evening "He keeps me under lock and key and expects me to wait for a nice Glasswalker boy from good familiy"

At first, Shadow had thought that maybe, just maybe this was just a typical father, he'd been told that some human dads got like this to.

"He wants me to breed for Gaia, to do my duty like a good little kinfolk, he told me he wants lots and lots of grandchildren so they can become big strong Garou like him" Cheyda whined

That did it, Shadow saw red at that point, they never thought to *ask* the kinfolk women whether they wanted to breed or not, it was assumed that they must and there was no choice in the matter.

"Ok" Shadow said, "Meet me a mile down the road just after midnight, and I'll get you out of here. Bring only the essentials"

---------------

At the appointed time Shadow waited nervously, hiding himself from prying eyes with his Gaia given gifts. He hadn't told the others where he was going, just said he wanted to explore a little at night, when things were quiet and cool. His sunburn chaffed against the coarse material of his top and was getting really irritating, especially his back where he couldn't reach, didn't feel right to get the others to put some aftersun on.

Shadow saw Cheyda coming down the road, dragging quite a large suitcase behind her, when she got near to where he was hidden, he relaxed his body and stepped towards her causing her to jump.

"Bastard" Cheyda yelled "what do you think you're doing sneaking up on me like that"

"and I thought I told you to travel light" Shadow retorted

"Well these are the essentials, you're a strong Garou I thought, you can carry this easily"

Shadow shrugged his shoulders and shifted to Glabro, the extra muscle mass being needed to carry the suitcase with any reasonable turn of speed. Cheyda's eyes seemed to linger on the muscular, hairy form a little before she started to walk off down the road.

-----------------

It was later and Shadow was tired, even with his Gaia given strength the case was heavy and arkward to carry, not to mention the rising sun was starting to irritate his sunburnt skin as it heated up.

"Gaia damnit" he screamed in frustration, dropping the case a little too heavily

"Hey" yelled Cheyda, in a shrill voice "watch what you're doing with my stuff!"

"I'm doing you a favour you know" said Shadow through gritted teeth "you could be a little bit more appreciative unless you wanna get sent back to your father"

Cheyda's angry little pout softened for a little bit, and she tilted her head to one side

"Ok, I'm sorry Shadow, I didn't mean to be such a pain, come into the shade for a bit, I've got some aftersun lotion in my bag"

Shadow dragged the case over beneath the shade of some olive trees and sat down on the rock. As Cheyda bent down in front of him to search for the aftersun lotion, Shadow became rather aware of her well shaped breasts, as they swung forward in her loose fitting top. Cheyda looked up at him and gave him a small flirtacious smile when she noticed where his gaze was directed.

"Ok, found it, just get that top off and we'll get you some relief" she giggled, rubbing a little aftersun into her hands

To Shadow, she was the first person who'd touched him since... well since Aeryn and her long, slender fingers felt good on his sore skin. He tensed suddenly as be became aware of her firm breasts pressing against his back, and her lips were just a fraction away from his neck. A myriad of thoughts ran through Shadow's mind

"Aeryn......, oh I miss you"
"Man, it's been so long"
"she's cute, but is she even old enough?"
"it'd be taking advantage of her though"

After what seemed like minutes, but in reality was a few short seconds, Shadow stood up and heard a little mew of frustration from Cheyda.

"Look, thanks for that Cheyda but I'm not gonna take advantage of you, come on, let's go, my pack's waiting on the other side of this hill"

Without waiting to see if she'd bothered to put her top back on, Shadow picked up the suitcase and started up the hill

------------------------

"Hey guys, this is Cheyda, she'll be travelling with us a bit until I can arrange for her to be transported back to the UK. Her father has been mistreating her really badly"

"He makes me go to bed at 9pm" pouts Cheyda "and no boys, no internet, no phones and he wants me to meet nice Glasswalker boy, give him lots of strong Garou grandchildren"

Shadow glanced over to Feudbringer who shrugged his shoulders

"This is your problem Shadow, da?"

"Yeah, but I wouldn't call Cheyda a problem, we're doing something good here"

----------------------------

"Send her back Shadow" Feudbringer told Shadow one morning "Her father has been to see Jeruslam to demand he fixes it, he passed the shit onto me, so now you're getting it"

"I can't boss, it just isn't right to put her through it" Shadow didn't mention that Cheyda's flirtations had also been getting a bit more insistant, only this morning he'd woken up to find her draped naked over him in bed.

"No question about it Shadow, she goes back, now get her packed" and with that Feudbringer turned away

---------------------------

"Look Cheyda, here's some money, and a phone number, call this when you get to the airport, just mention my name and they'll look after you" Shadow gave her a quick hug" Shadow said in a low whispered voice

"Now go"

-----------------------------

"She's gone Feudbringer, she must have heard you talking and legged it, guess we can't send her back now can we?" Shadow said, just a trace of defiance in his voice

Feudbringer didn't reply, but just shook his head, this was going to be a long phonecall back to Jerusalem.
